MARCHAIS VINEYARD

It all began in the 50s, in Loroux-Bottereau in the heart of the Muscadet region. Rogatien Marchais, fascinated by the vineyard, invested in a small plot of vines... His passion for the vine was soon passed on to his youngest son, Philippe, who took over the estate in the 1980s. Philippe enlarged the family vineyard, extending it across the Loire to Thouaré and then to Mauves-sur-Loire. Using sustainable farming methods, he developed the estate with the idea of producing rich, diversified wines in AOC du Nantais, Coteaux d'Ancenis, IGP du Val de Loire and Vins de France. Philippe loves to share his passion for wine with others, so he set about creating a winery in Thouaré-sur-Loire, with the aim of creating a place for people to exchange ideas and share their common passion for wine. // The Vignoble Marchais tasting room A convivial, authentic space divided into two distinct areas: - The cellar dedicated to direct sales and tasting: discover the wines of the Nantais region with the Marchais family production (AOC du Nantais, Coteaux d'Ancenis, IGP du Val de Loire and Vins de France), the collective of partner winemakers for a wide variety of wines: from the Loire, Burgundy, Bordeaux, etc. - The reception hall: gather in our modernly designed, authentically charming hall. - La Nuit en tonneau: a package that lets you discover the winemaking profession, with a bottle of wine, overnight stay and breakfast.
