PRIEURÉ LA CHAUME

Situated in the southern Vendée, LA CHAUME is first and foremost a crazy gamble! To create, from scratch, a vineyard on a virgin terroir, on a former island in the Poitevin marshes. The vineyard is the southernmost in the Loire Valley, equidistant between the Loire and the Médoc. Short pruning, organic fertilization, minimal treatments and very modest yields (25 to 30 hl/ha on average). ECOCERT-certified organic cultivation, totally grassed, the vineyard is managed in such a way as to maintain this potential. After only ten years on the market, our wines have been exported to some fifteen countries, and can be found on the wine lists of some fifty Michelin-starred restaurants. New label obtained: Vin Méthode Nature, in addition to the Agriculture Biologique label.
